Alternatives to infofree

I can tell that because I've worked at infofree...their sales leads suck, they do a terrible job at collecting their information mostly because I worked there as a customer service rep and I got a lot of complaints from clients about them. You see that's why I moved on. I didn't want to work for a horrible company like infofree.

They should take a cue from Google on how to treat their employees correctly.

I quit

I quit working at infofree.com / DO NOT WORK THERE!

I once worked at a finance company, and the bosses there were very respectful of work-life balance, were friendly to you even if you didn't hang out with them after work, and did their best to communicate clearly on what was expected from you instead of having to guess.

No one sent emails in all caps and they weren't cliquish at all. In fact at this old job that I used to have, they did their best to get to know everyone and have a close knit team. So I reapplied, did the interview and they have offered to rehire me.

Infofree.com is a dump.

You will get called in on the weekend

The owner Vin likes to call in people on the weekend, these are rare but they do happen, so he will demand that everyone at infofree come in on the weekend...usually a Saturday. Everyone has to come from IT, to CSR, management, even people from DatabaseUSA (sister company to infofree.com) are all required to come.

Many people there are unhappy over this but since its a hard economy right now many people are putting up with it. So on Saturday everyone came and Vin only talked to a few people. There was no need for everyone to be there. Apparently Indian bosses like Vin don't respect personal work-life balance. He just wanted everyone to be at his beck and call.

The sales department harasses CSR

When I first started working at infofree...I got a call through the customer service line and a customer wanted to sign up for a membership. I signed him up. I was later yelled by a sales rep because apparently it was "her" customer. I didn't know this at all. I told sales that the customer came through the customer service line.

I told CSR management about this and that I shouldn't be yelled by sales but CS management didn't do anything.

Infofree sucks, don't work there

As a workplace infofree.com is a terrible place to work. There are a lot of layoffs and management wants you to guess on what to do instead of telling what they want from their workers. If you don't guess what they want then you get laid off. Do not work in the customer service or sales departments because they are horrible departments to work for.

Why customer service management sucks:

The CS manager sends out a lot of emails with all caps.

CS manager gives a lot of confusing directions and when you don't do exactly as she says you will get yelled at by her either via email or she will say something nasty.

CS manager won't say hello if you say hello to her.

CS manager plays favorites and is cliquish. She only likes to talk to RJ and Matt.

CS manager likes to pass off her mistakes as her customer service reps mistakes and will tell management you are not doing your job.

When CSR is being harassed by sales people, management won't protect you from the sales department.

Commissions at infofree are not paid out at all.
